Because pet friendly Switzerland has an open and accommodating attitude toward animals, you’ll find the import requirements to be a lot more lenient than in a lot of other countries. For example, if you are bringing your pet from a country without an urban rabies problem, all you’ll need is a valid and current rabies vaccination certificate to get your pet in the country. There’s a whole industry devoted to pet products, and it’s not just food and toys, either. You’ll find stores full of clothing for pets, gourmet pet treats in grocery stores, and even miniature mansions for pets to live in within their owner’s house. In fact, many people treat their pets like royalty in the United States.
Because of this devotion to their pets, a pet friendly United States has emerged. While it’s taken a while for many businesses to catch up with the pet worship in this country, that’s all changed now. Most businesses now recognize the enormous revenue that can be obtained from accommodating pet owners. Going on vacation does not mean that you have to leave your pet behind. There are many places that you can take your pet and still enjoy yourself on vacation with them along.
Many hotels and motels now have rooms that you can stay in that your pet can stay right in the room with you. There are many pet friendly places that you can vacation at. These places usually charge extra for a pet fee, but that is mostly because of the extra cleaning involved with pet hair and other incidentals.
When traveling with your pet you will want to make sure that you have some things with you that you will need. One would be their shot records and health reports from the vet’s office in case your dog gets sick and needs to visit a vet while you are on vacation. Also many boarding facilities require these records for your pet to stay even a few hours with them. You can get copies of these just by calling your vets office.
